Rev. Clint J. Trahan was born on September 23, 1981, and is the son of Bonnie and Benny Trahan. He has two older sisters and one younger sister and one younger brother. He lived in Kaplan up until the time of his graduation from Kaplan High in 2000. He then spent four years at St. Joseph Seminary College, graduating with honors in 2004, with his degree in Liberal Arts and Philosophy. He went on to four years at Notre Dame Seminary in New Orleans, where he graduated with honors, with his masters in Divinity. His eight years in the seminary covered several parish assignments, starting with his very first at St. John Berchmans in Cankton; his second at St. Peter in Carencro; his third at St. Marcellus in Reynella; his fourth studying Spanish in Pueblo, Mexico for fifteen weeks; his fifth at St. Thomas More in Eunice; his sixth on a fifteen week assignment as Chaplin at Carolina’s Medical Center in Charlotte, North Carolina; and his seventh as a Seminarian at St. Landry in Opelousas lasting seven months. Rev. Clint was then ordained a deacon on January 12, 2008, and was proudly ordained a priest on June 7, 2008.
Rev. Clint was assigned as Associate Pastor at St. Joseph’s in Rayne in June of 2008 to June of 2011. He was also assigned to help at St. Anthony’s in Eunice for five and a half months. He took several mission trips and has lead two pilgrimages to Lourdes. Some of his duties were Masses, funerals, visiting the sick and homebound, participating in parish ministries, frequently assisting other parishes with sacramental needs, leading retreats for local parishes, as well as for the diocesan level, officiating Lenten and Advent missions throughout the diocese, participating in healing services within the area, and helping others through spiritual direction and confession. At the beginning of his priesthood, he was assigned as Chaplain of a National Program called “Courage” (a ministry dedicated to those who struggle in the homosexual lifestyle).
Rev. Clint is currently serving as Pastor at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Lyons Point, Immaculate Conception Church in Morse, and St. Aloysius Chapel in Midland.
